Bradley Bofford is a Managing Director and Partner of Financial Principles, LLC, a HighTower wealth management practice. With his deep industry knowledge and experience, Brad has been helping clients make informed financial decisions for more than 25 years.
Brad specializes in comprehensive financial planning, retirement planning and asset management. He focuses on addressing complex financial challenges and helping successful business owners, executives and affluent families in the Greater New York City metropolitan area focus on their financial independence.
Brad co-founded Financial Principles, LLC in 1998 with Michael Flower. The Fairfield-based financial services practice was previously affiliated with Securities America prior to becoming a HighTower wealth management practice in 2018.
Since 1995, Brad has been recognized as a Qualifying Life Member by the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, a global, independent association of more than 62,000 of the world's leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies in 69 countries. To date, Brad has achieved 18 “Court of the Table” and 12 “Top of the Table” qualifications. Brad earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Delaware. He is currently a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations. Brad holds the Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as Life & Health insurance licenses. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Brad is active in several community and charitable organizations. Currently, he is serving a four-year term as a Board Member for the University of Delaware Alumni Association. He is also an active member and fundraiser for various charities, primarily Bike MS, Bergen Bike Tour, Bergen County Horse Rescue and the MDRT Foundation. Previously, he served as President for the University of Delaware Alumni Association of Northern New Jersey from 1995-2013.
Brad and his family reside in Bergen County, New Jersey. Outside of work, he thoroughly enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, as well as cycling, traveling and spending time with his wife, Jamie, their children and their Goldendoodle.

Michael Flower is a Managing Director and Partner of Financial Principles, LLC, a HighTower wealth management practice. He has 23 years of experience helping individuals set, achieve and maintain their life goals.
Mike’s efforts focus on providing executives, closely-held businesses, business owners and retirees with comprehensive financial plans. He provides sophisticated, professional advice through in-depth analysis, meticulous plan design, and effective plan monitoring. This strategy results in a financial blueprint, which allows clients to see their complete financial situation in an organized and complete manner.
Mike co-founded Financial Principles, LLC in 1998 with Bradley Bofford. The Fairfield-based financial services practice was previously affiliated with Securities America. Before starting his career in financial services, Mike gained valuable experience as a project manager for VRH Construction.

A former college football player, Mike remains active playing softball and basketball. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, the theatre, and spending time with his wife and their three sons. Mike is a committed family man and trustee within his faith community.
Daniel Trout is a Partner of Financial Principles, LLC, a HighTower wealth management practice. A former client of the practice, Dan joined our team in 2003 and has 16 years of financial planning experience.
Dan strives to build strong, long-term client relationships and assist clients at each phase of their financial lives. He focuses on helping clients understand and implement financial strategies designed to help them achieve their financial goals.
Dan implements a personalized financial planning model, develops an appropriate strategy, and employs products and services individualized to each client’s situation. He also provides a specialized retirement planning solution for school administrators.
Prior to becoming a Partner of Financial Principles, LLC in 2018, Dan served as Vice President. Before he began his career in financial services, he held various positions with Hallmark Cards, Sterling International and Sapient Corporation.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Delaware. He currently holds the Series 6, 7 and 65 licenses, as well as Life & Health insurance licenses.
Outside of work, Dan is the founding President and current Director of Budgeting of the West Milford Youth Soccer Organization. He created and runs “Challenger Soccer” for 30 special needs children in coordination with the West Milford High School Community Service Program, and continues to coach soccer and softball within the township. While he is proud to be a trusted advisor and active in the community, he believes his most rewarding roles in life are as a husband to his wife, Linda, and as a father to their children, Miranda, Madison and Logan.
Andrew’s key responsibilities include retirement planning, portfolio model construction and implementation, and client relationship development. He optimizes robust experience in portfolio analysis, comprehensive financial planning, tax liability management and executive compensation planning to create truly customized solutions for our clients.
Andrew rejoined Financial Principles, LLC in 2018. Previously, he served as an Associate Wealth Advisor at Private Wealth Management Group, LLC, where he supported key areas of the firm’s comprehensive financial planning process.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Akron. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, and currently holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys hiking, cycling, and keeping up with Cleveland’s professional sports teams.
Steve Gelber is an Associate Wealth Advisor at Financial Principles, LLC, a HighTower wealth management practice. With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, he brings a deep background in financial planning and investment management to the team.
Steve specializes in working with clients and their families to develop personalized, comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies. Steve finds fulfillment in tackling complex matters such as, trusts and estates, elder care planning, and advanced tax strategies. He has a knack for simplifying the complicated and providing clarity and calm to clients in the face of uncertainty. Additionally, he is responsible for creating and managing client education and communication initiatives.
Prior to joining Financial Principles, LLC in 2018, Steve spent seven years with Taylor Financial Group in Franklin Lakes, NJ, where he supported the firm’s financial consultation and wealth planning efforts. Previously, he supported client servicing at RMR Wealth Builders in Teaneck, NJ.
Steve graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance from Boston University. He earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, and currently holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as Life & Health insurance licenses.
Steve is an active member of several charitable organizations. Through his involvement with the Hackensack Rotary and Hackensack Elks, he supports efforts to organize annual food, toy, and coat drives, care package mailings for deployed servicemen and women, and several outings each year for children living in a local residential care facility.
Steve resides in Hackensack, NJ with his dog, Buster. He enjoys home-brewing, cooking, and playing in local adult recreation sports leagues. In his spare time, Steve keeps busy with countless house and yard projects (which he affectionately refers to as the joys of being a first-time homeowner).
VikkiMarie’s primary responsibilities are to help coordinate and execute administrative and client support needs for Brad’s current and future clients.
VikkiMarie has served as the Executive Assistant to Bradley Bofford since 2016. Previously, she served as a project coordinator in the telecommunications industry, as well as a legal assistant.
JoAnne’s primary role is supporting Mike Flower with his clients. She also has a wide array of responsibilities, including assisting with accounting, human resources, benefits and licensing.
Prior to joining Financial Principles, LLC in 1998, she was a Senior Trading Liaison for RBC Capital Markets.
JoAnne is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Lynn Marie’s primary responsibilities are to help coordinate and execute administrative and client support needs for Daniel’s current and future clients.
Prior to joining Financial Principles, LLC in 2013, she was an Administrative Assistant on the Dove Soap Marketing Team at Unilever.
Lynn Marie graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology from Montclair State University.
